Lineage Description |
The BRMP Risk Register Assets Human Settlement Area map was prepared by the Bushfire Risk Unit, Tasmania Fire Service on behalf of the Fire Management Area Committees (FMAC).
The features presented on this map layer relate to the risk register, Appendix 1 of the Bushfire Risk Management Plan (BRMP), which is a list of assets and values that were included in the bushfire risk assessment for each FMAC. There are 10 FMAC in total covering all of Tasmania, each has its own BRMP, but the BRMP Risk Register Assets Human Settlement Area covers all as a single map layer for the entire State of Tasmania. There are four separate layers that together make up the complete BRMP Risk Register: Human Settlement Area, Production Forest, Natural Value, Other.
The Bushfire Risk Management Planning Guidelines 2020 provide a detailed explanation about the risk assessment, the risk register and the attributes presented on LISTmap (e.g. TERAG Code, Asset Category, Asset Description FMAC Priority). Appendix 1 of each BRMP also provides some explanation on the attributes. The guidelines and BRMP can be viewed at the State Fire Management Council website: http://www.sfmc.tas.gov.au/publications-resources#document_library-page-2
Each Human Settlement Area feature represents a cluster of population density where people live or work. The BRMP Risk Register Assets Human Settlement Area map layer is related to but not the same as the Human Settlement Areas map layer. |
