1:100,000 Groundwater Prospectivity Maps (Mineral Resources Tasmania)
Date:
02-08-2010
Mapped potential for groundwater within a catchment based on the properties of broad rock groups. Polygons are attributed with potential aquifer characteristics. Includes table of bore hole locations, salinity (TDS), yield, water level and bore hole depth (from BORIS database). Base geology is from the 1:250,000 Digital Geology. Maps for the series are based on major Tasmanian river catchments.
1:100,000 Simplified Geology Maps (Mineral Resources Tasmania)
Date:
16-06-2010
Simplified geology data derived from 1:250,000 digital geology. Structural symbols and boundaries have been removed and lithological subdivisions of the main rock units have been consolidated, whilst preserving the time scale framework of the State's geology. Intended as an input to regional planning processes.
1:25,000 Geology Data and Maps (Mineral Resources Tasmania)
Date:
16-06-2010
Geological lines (contacts, faults, linears), geological polygons (rock units and alteration or metamorphism) and geological points (outcrops and structure data) derived from existing reports, 1:25,000 1:50,000 and 1:63,360 scale printed maps, new field mapping and interpretation of aerial photography, remote sensing data and airborne geophysical data. Digital data is available as a seamless ...
1:250,000 Geology Data and Maps (Mineral Resources Tasmania)
Date:
16-06-2010
Geological lines (contacts, faults, linears), geological rock units, and structure data derived from 1:50,000 and 1:63,360 Digital Geological Atlas printed map series and 1:25,000 digital geology data where available. Geological units and boundaries have been generalised and compiled for 1:250,000 scale. The digital data is available as a seamless state wide coverage and is used to produce the ...

1:50,000 Tasmanian Map Book Raster Images - Public Version
Date:
16-02-2009
The 1:50,000 raster images are derived from the topographic Tasmanian Map Books produced by Information Land Services (ILS), DPIPWE, for the Tasmanian Fire Service (TFS). The Tasmanian Map Book contained some restricted data. This restricted data was stripped out of the original files and new images were created for use.

1:500,000 Geology Data and Map (Mineral Resources Tasmania)
Date:
07-09-2001
Geological lines (contacts, faults) and geological rock units, derived from 1:250,000 geology data. Rock units have been simplified based on a parent 1:500,000 unit, geological boundaries have been generalised to be suitable for 1:500,000 scale data. The digital data is available as a seamless state wide coverage and is used to produce the Geology of Tasmania 1:500,000 Scale map.
