Lineage Description |
Waterway and Coastal Protection Area Guidance Map includes wetlands and saltmarshes, as mapped by CFEV, TASVEG 3.0 and additional saltmarshes mapped by Vishnu Prahalad (to 2016). It also includes 50m buffers around these wetlands, saltmarshes and 100m buffers around Ramsar sites and 40m buffers around high water mark from tidal coastlines, water bodies (lakes and artificial storages other than farm dams). These buffers have been created off CFEV and Information land services lines and polygons). It also includes varying buffer widths from waterways depending upon catchment size, using CFEV River Catchments. The waterway information has been obtained from CFEV and Information land services lines and polygons. The buffers relate to the horizontal distance from the top of bank on either side of the watercourse. However, the watercourses in the Guidance Map have either been mapped as lines or polygons, and the buffer measured from these. For those watercourses mapped as lines, the buffer distances have been measured from the centre line of the watercourse, and the buffers have been mapped as adjoining polygons. |
