Abstract |
The road kill layers provide citizen-science data on the location of wildlife roadkill in Tasmania. Layers are categorised into 'type' of wildlife (birds, mammals, reptiles, etc) and separated by year. |
Lineage Description |
Data has come in through a number of avenues including the Roadkill TAS app (2018-2021), the NRE online form https://nre.tas.gov.au/wildlife-management/living-with-wildlife/tasmanian-wildlife-roadkill/report-a-roadkill-sighting (2021 - current), the STDP devil enquiries email (past 10 years) as well as the STDP hotline (2013-2021) are a few of the examples. Future data is expected to mostly come in through the NRE in-house developed Survey123 app on the Tasmanian Roadkill reporter https://nre.tas.gov.au/wildlife-management/living-with-wildlife/tasmanian-wildlife-roadkill/tasmanian-roadkill-reporter-app/installing-the-roadkill-reporter-app |
