The 1:50,000 raster images are derived from the topographic Tasmanian Map Books produced by Information Land Services (ILS), DPIPWE, for the Tasmanian Fire Service (TFS). The Tasmanian Map Book contained some restricted data. This restricted data was stripped out of the original files and new images were created for use.

Tiff/ECW images automatically exported from ArcMap using the 'Layout Manager' plug-in extension (by Map Logic) and are georefferenced to the MGA94 Zone 55 grid reference system. The images have been created from a number of base LIST datasets (DEM, Transport, Hydrology, Facilities etc.) as well as datasets sourced from other organisations (TFS, Parks and Wildlife etc).

Position Accuracy: The accuracy of these images is dependent on the datasets used to create them and therefore may vary. Refer to the source datasets for more information.
