Elevation Polygons show areas in 100m bands (AHD) for Tasmania from 0m (Mean Sea Level) to 1500m. Anything above 1500m is grouped into a 1500m + band. This dataset was developed from NRE's 10m Contours dataset and clipped to NRE's coastline dataset.

This dataset was generated using spatial processing tools from QGIS and ArcGIS Pro to group areas between 100m and above using NRE's 10m Contours dataset. Areas below 100m were generated using NRE's Coastline (Mean High Water Mark) and the 100m contour.

Positional Accuracy: Please refer to NRE's 10m Contour and Coastline metadata statements for positional accuracy. Attribute Accuracy: Attributes have been calculated from elevation band groupings. As derived from the Contours dataset, these values are estimated to be 98% accurate. Logical Consistency: N/A Completeness: The dataset provides coverage for all of Tasmania and islands within the Tasmanian State Boundary, but excluding Macquare Island, as validated through analysis between the final product and the Coastline dataset.
