The location of the operational boundaries (or management units) for each of the PWS field centres as depicted in the PWS Asset Management System (AMS). The PWS Field Centre layer is a feature group sourced from the PWS Asset Management System (AMS). The AMS is a commercial off the shelf system (COTS) called Confirm Enterprise. Spatial data is stored in a relational SQL Server database. The PWS Field Centre layer is replicated from the AMS to the List Server using Land Tasmania's Feature Management Engine (FME). This upload occurs every every weekday (Mon-Fri) night. The layer available to users in ListMap is not a live connection to the AMS system. Features are recorded as polygons in the AMS. They have been constructed using a desktop GIS and usually follow natural boundaries such as rivers or roads or administrative boundaries such as regions, reserves or roads. The scope of a field centre will encapsulate the reserves under management for that field centre. Where possible a reserve will be wholly contained within a field centre.

Position Accuracy: The boundaries are not intended to be survey accurate, but to roughly delineate the land responsibilities of one field centre to another. Attribute Accuracy: The attributes are 100% correct. Logical Consistency: Boundary Segments are topologically correct and will not include overshoots, dangles, free endpoints, intersections or duplicate overlaying lines. Completeness: The capture of the field centre boundaries is 100% complete.
