Conservation of Freshwater Ecosystem Values (CFEV) Data - Groundwater Dependent Ecosystems
Date:
18-03-2015
The CFEV Groundwater Dependent Ecosystems (GDEs) data layer shows generalised point locations of known freshwater-dependent ecosystems highly dependent on groundwater across Tasmania. This layer mainly includes various types of springs. Conservation rankings for karst are not included in this layer and are provided separately in the CFEV Karst data set.
Conservation of Freshwater Ecosystem Values (CFEV) Data - Karst
Date:
18-03-2015
The CFEV Karst data layer shows a statewide coverage of karst areas in Tasmania. Individual features (karst areas) are rated according to their overall conservation value (relative to other karst), as assessed by the Conservation of Freshwater Ecosystem Values (CFEV) Program. The data also includes an assessment of conservation management priority for each karst feature.
Key Values - Freshwater Ecosystems - Karst Estuaries Saltmarshes (PWS)
Date:
01-11-2008
This layer provides a spatial representation of freshwater ecosystem values that are key values in each reserve in the National Reserve System in Tasmania. Karst, saltmarshes and estuaries are included in this metadata statement.

Tasmanian Fluvial Mosaics
Date:
11-01-2010
The Tasmanian Fluvial Mosaics are the final output of a project run by the Earth Science Section of DPIWE which aimed to identify regions within which you find rivers with similar geomorphic form. Predictive regions were built from input variables including climate, geology, topography and geomorphic history, using an environmental domain analysis. The early stages of this process are described ...
