The Priority Notice option is only available for Registered Barristers and Solicitors.
Select Priority Notice.
The following screen will
be presented :-
To submit a Priority Notice
1. Select the 'Type of dealing'
required (use scroll bar to find more dealing types)
2. Enter the required text
in the 'Full Names of all Parties' box (Note: there is a maximum of 248
characters that can be entered into this field)
3. Enter the title reference(s)
in the 'Folio(s) affected box (Note: there is a maximum of 99 titles that
can be entered into this field)
4. Select the 'Add' option
to submit your first entry
This will present the following screen :-
The Priority Notice Number
will be shown at the top of the screen along with a summary of the data
entered just below it.
Pressing the Reset option
will clear/delete text that has been entered erroneously and not yet added.
Selecting the Delete
option will delete that entry after the text has been added.
Selecting the Edit
option will allow a change to the text after it has been added.
Keep adding entries until
the priority notice is complete. Then select the 'complete' option.
This will present the following screen
This screen shows the completed
Priority Notice and gives you the option to submit it for a period of between
1 - 60 days (defaults to 60).
Select the Lodge this notice
option to lodge the Priority Notice.
Non - existing title references
When a non-existing Folio of the register is entered, an error message . (the submitted entry will show in red)
Delete the incorrect title
reference from the 'Folio(s) affected' field and enter the correct one.
Select the 'Modify' option
to submit the correct entry
Part of land Priority Notices
If one of the dealings on a priority notice relates to part of the land only, it will be necessary to make reference to the portion affected in the 'Full Names of all Parties to the dealing(s)' field. (as the 'Folio(s) affected field only accepts valid Folio numbers) :-
Note: If all dealings on the Priority Notice relate to 'part of land', it will be necessary to make to the portion affected after each entry.
General Notes:
1. A separate priority notice
must be lodged for each 'set of dealings'.
2. The LIST system only
provides for electronic lodgment of a Priority notice at this stage. A
withdrawal of Priority notice will still need to be lodged either
through the mail or in person to the Land Data Registration Branch.
